नैनीताल। जिला सूचना अधिकारी गिरिजा शंकर जोशी के आकस्मिक निधन से सूचना विभाग सहित पूरे प्रशासनिक अमले में शोक की लहर है। उनके निधन की खबर मिलते ही सांसद अजय भट्ट, जिलाधिकारी नैनीताल ललित मोहन रयाल, एसएसपी नैनीताल, एसडीएम, सिटी मजिस्ट्रेट सहित कई प्रशासनिक अधिकारी और जनप्रतिनिधि मौके पर पहुंचे और शोक संतप्त परिवार को ढांढस बंधाया।
जानकारी के अनुसार, गिरिजा शंकर जोशी शनिवार को घर से कार्यालय के लिए निकल रहे थे। इसी दौरान घर के गेट के सामने उनकी बाइक फिसल गई और वह गिर पड़े। बताया जा रहा है कि इसके बाद उन्हें दिल का दौरा पड़ा। उन्हें तत्काल अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया।
गिरिजा शंकर जोशी लंबे समय से सूचना विभाग के माध्यम से सरकार और प्रशासन से जुड़ी महत्वपूर्ण खबरों को मीडिया और आम जनता तक पहुंचाने की जिम्मेदारी निभा रहे थे। उनके आकस्मिक निधन से सूचना विभाग ने एक समर्पित अधिकारी को खो दिया है।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने भी गिरिजा शंकर जोशी के निधन पर गहरा दुख व्यक्त किया है। उन्होंने दिवंगत आत्मा की शांति और शोक संतप्त परिवार को इस कठिन समय में शक्ति प्रदान करने की ईश्वर से प्रार्थना की।
वहीं, महानिदेशक सूचना बंशीधर तिवारी ने भी उनके निधन पर शोक व्यक्त करते हुए दिवंगत आत्मा की शांति और शोकाकुल परिजनों को संबल प्रदान करने की कामना की।
