पिथौरागढ़: उत्तराखंड के पिथौरागढ़ जिला मुख्यालय से सटे कुमौड़ गांव में पिछले कई दिनों से दहशत का कारण बना तेंदुआ आखिरकार वन विभाग के पिंजरे में कैद हो गया है। सोमवार देर रात एक मादा तेंदुआ पिंजरे में फंस गई, जिसके बाद स्थानीय ग्रामीणों और वन विभाग की टीम ने राहत की सांस ली है।
आबादी क्षेत्र में दिन-रात घूम रहे थे तेंदुए:
कुमौड़ के रिहायशी इलाकों में पिछले कुछ समय से 2 से 3 तेंदुए दिन के उजाले में भी बेखौफ घूमते देखे जा रहे थे। तेंदुए के डर से स्थानीय निवासी सूरज ढलते ही अपने घरों में कैद होने को मजबूर थे। लोगों के भारी विरोध और मांग के बाद वन विभाग ने कोट क्षेत्र में ट्रैप कैमरा (CCTV) और पिंजरा लगाया था।
वन विभाग की अपील- अभी सतर्क रहें:
रेंजर दिनेश जोशी ने बताया कि पिंजरे में मादा तेंदुआ कैद हुई है, लेकिन इलाके में अन्य तेंदुओं की मौजूदगी से इनकार नहीं किया जा सकता। वन विभाग की टीम लगातार इलाके पर नज़र बनाए हुए है और स्थिति के अनुसार आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी। उन्होंने ग्रामीणों से फिलहाल सतर्कता बरतने की अपील की है।
