दूध, पनीर, ब्रेड और दवाएं हुईं सस्ती, पान मसाला-सिगरेट पर बढ़ा टैक्स

नई दिल्ली। दिवाली से पहले केंद्र सरकार ने जनता को राहत का बड़ा पैकेज दिया है। वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने वस्तु एवं सेवा कर (जीएसटी) की दरों में व्यापक कटौती का ऐलान किया। अब कई रोजमर्रा की वस्तुएं और सेवाएं सस्ती होंगी, जबकि कुछ लग्जरी और हानिकारक उत्पादों पर कर बढ़ा दिया गया है। जीएसटी की नई दरें 22 सितंबर से लागू होंगी।
जीएसटी में संशोधन के बाद अधिकांश वस्तुएं 5% और 18% स्लैब में आ गई हैं। कई उत्पादों को जीरो टैक्स (0%) श्रेणी में रखा गया है, जबकि तंबाकू, पान मसाला और शुगरी ड्रिंक्स जैसे आइटम अब 40% ‘सिन टैक्स’ स्लैब में आ गए हैं।
क्या सस्ता हुआ?
दूध, पनीर, छेना, ब्रेड, खाखरा और चपाती पर अब कोई टैक्स नहीं लगेगा।
बटर, खोआ, घी और अन्य डेयरी प्रोडक्ट्स 12% से घटकर 5% टैक्स पर आ गए हैं।
33 जीवन रक्षक दवाओं और हेल्थ इंश्योरेंस/एलआईसी पॉलिसियों पर टैक्स शून्य कर दिया गया है।
कृषि और बागवानी मशीनरी, ट्रैक्टर, ट्यूब-टायर, कीटनाशक और उर्वरक सामग्री पर टैक्स 18% से घटकर 5% हो गया है।
मोटरसाइकिल (350 सीसी तक), एसी, टीवी, डिशवॉशर और छोटे वाहनों पर जीएसटी 28% से घटकर 18% हो गया है।
क्या महंगा हुआ?
कोल्ड ड्रिंक, शुगरी बेवरेज और नॉन-अल्कोहलिक ड्रिंक अब 40% स्लैब में चले गए हैं।
लग्जरी कारें, रेसिंग कारें और 350 सीसी से ऊपर की मोटरसाइकिलें भी महंगी हो गई हैं।
पान मसाला, गुटखा, सिगरेट, तंबाकू उत्पादों पर टैक्स बढ़ाकर 40% कर दिया गया है।
जुआ, कैसीनो, ऑनलाइन गेमिंग और रेस क्लब में एंट्री भी अब 40% जीएसटी स्लैब में आएगी।
रिवॉल्वर, पिस्तौल और निजी उपयोग के लिए विमान व नाव पर भी 40% टैक्स लगेगा।
सरकार का दावा है कि इस फैसले से आम और मध्यम वर्ग को सीधी राहत मिलेगी, जबकि हानिकारक व विलासिता वाली वस्तुओं पर ज्यादा टैक्स लगाकर राजस्व भी बढ़ाया जाएगा।
