बीएलओ को धमकाने की घटनाओं पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट गंभीर, चुनाव आयोग को सख्त कार्रवाई के निर्देश
नई दिल्ली। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पश्चिम बंगाल सहित कुछ राज्यों में बूथ लेवल ऑफिसर (बीएलओ) को धमकाने और चुनाव आयोग द्वारा कराए जा रहे विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण (SIR) कार्य में हस्तक्षेप की शिकायतों को बेहद गंभीर माना है। एक मामले की सुनवाई के दौरान अदालत ने निर्वाचन आयोग से कहा कि मतदाता सूची पुनरीक्षण जैसी संवैधानिक प्रक्रिया में राज्य सरकारों का सहयोग न मिलना चिंता का विषय है और इसे तत्काल गंभीरता से लिया जाना चाहिए।
सुप्रीम कोर्ट की सख्त टिप्पणी—“स्थिति बिगड़ी तो पुलिस बल लगाना पड़ेगा”
सर्वोच्च अदालत ने स्पष्ट किया कि यदि इन घटनाओं पर समय रहते नियंत्रण नहीं किया गया, तो हालात और खराब हो सकते हैं। अदालत ने कहा—
“अगर स्थिति और बिगड़ती है तो पुलिस तैनात करने के अलावा कोई विकल्प नहीं रहेगा।”
चुनाव आयोग ने जवाब देते हुए कहा कि उसके पास ऐसी घटनाओं से निपटने के लिए सभी संवैधानिक शक्तियां मौजूद हैं। इस पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने निर्देश दिया कि आयोग को तुरंत प्रभावी कदम उठाने होंगे, वरना स्थिति अराजकता की ओर बढ़ सकती है।
पश्चिम बंगाल में SIR की निगरानी के लिए पांच IAS अधिकारी नियुक्त
मतदाता सूची पुनरीक्षण प्रक्रिया में पारदर्शिता और निगरानी बढ़ाने के लिए चुनाव आयोग ने पश्चिम बंगाल में पांच वरिष्ठ IAS अधिकारियों को स्पेशल रोल ऑब्जर्वर (SRO) के रूप में तैनात किया है।
मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी कार्यालय के अनुसार, इन पर्यवेक्षकों की नियुक्ति से प्रत्येक संभाग में SIR प्रक्रिया की जांच, निगरानी और निष्पादन और अधिक मजबूत होगा।
14 फरवरी 2026 को जारी होगी अंतिम मतदाता सूची
राज्य में मतदाता सूचियों का विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण 4 नवंबर से जारी है। आयोग ने बताया कि पूरी प्रक्रिया को पारदर्शी और सुरक्षित बनाने के लिए अतिरिक्त कदम उठाए गए हैं। अंतिम मतदाता सूची 14 फरवरी 2026 को प्रकाशित की जाएगी।
