निर्वाचन तैयारियों, बूथ सत्यापन और BLO तैनाती पर दिए महत्वपूर्ण निर्देश
देहरादून। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के चुनाव आयुक्त डॉ. विवेक जोशी ने देहरादून में निर्वाचन तैयारियों की समीक्षा बैठक की। इस दौरान मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी (सीईओ) उत्तराखंड डॉ. बीवीआरसी पुरुषोत्तम ने प्रदेश में चल रही गतिविधियों का विस्तृत प्रस्तुतीकरण दिया।
चुनाव आयुक्त डॉ. जोशी ने निर्देश दिए कि आयोग के सभी दिशा-निर्देशों का प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन सुनिश्चित किया जाए। बूथ लेवल ऑफिसर (BLO) की तैनाती जल्द पूरी करने और 1200 से अधिक मतदाताओं वाले या 2 किलोमीटर से ज्यादा पैदल दूरी पर स्थित मतदान केंद्रों का भौतिक सत्यापन कर नए बूथों का समय पर पुनर्निर्धारण करने के निर्देश दिए।
मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी डॉ. पुरुषोत्तम ने बताया कि नए BLO की तैनाती पूरी कर ली गई है। अगस्त-सितंबर में DEO, ERO, BLO सुपरवाइजर, BLO और BLA के प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित होंगे।
उन्होंने बताया कि प्रदेश में कुल 85 लाख मतदाता हैं, जिनमें 44 लाख पुरुष, 41 लाख महिलाएं और 304 थर्ड जेंडर शामिल हैं। इनमें 1.64 लाख युवा मतदाता, 84 हजार दिव्यांग मतदाता और 21 हजार सर्विस मतदाता भी शामिल हैं।
प्रदेश में अब तक 1200 से अधिक मतदाताओं वाले बूथों और दूरस्थ मतदान केंद्रों का सत्यापन कर लिया गया है और लगभग 1000 नए पोलिंग बूथ स्थापित किए जा रहे हैं।
हरेला पर्व से जुड़ा जागरूकता अभियान, थीम आधारित कैलेंडर भी तैयार
मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि स्वीप कार्यक्रम के तहत प्रदेश में स्थानीय लोकपर्व हरेला को मतदाता जागरूकता से जोड़ा गया है। सभी पोलिंग बूथों और अन्य स्थानों पर वृहद पौधारोपण अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। सालभर के लिए थीम आधारित जागरूकता कैलेंडर भी तैयार किया गया है।
इस अवसर पर अपर मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी डॉ. विजय कुमार जोगदंडे, सहायक मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी मस्तू दास और ईआरओ डोईवाला अपर्णा ढौंडियाल भी उपस्थित रहीं।
